Zeta Phi Beta Donates Backpacks to Georgia Foster Care Program

Cartervsille Back Packs 2.JPG

August 5, 2014

Mega thanks to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Rho Epsilon Zeta Chapter from Marietta, GA.  They donated these awesome book bags to our foster care program in our Cartersville, GA office.   Lots of thanks to our Case Manager Jessica Green for putting this all together!

And to fill these book bags, the Meritan office in Cartersville worked with their local Crye-Leike office to raise money with a yard sale.  Enough money was raised to fill all the back packs with great school supplies!

In addition, the Cartersville staff secured donated gift certificates from the local Target and Wal-Mart stores so the children could have a great start to their school year.

Thank you New Direction Christian Church!

Memphis, TN – (July 14, 2014) – Cindy Branch, RN, Meritan’s Associate Vice President for Health Services, has been selected to represent Tennessee as one of the nation’s Top 50 home care and hospice nurses by the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) and the Home Healthcare Nurses Association (HHNA).

As Tennessee’s representative, Branch will be recognized at the NAHC’s annual meeting in October in Phoenix, AZ. The winner of a nationwide contest to select the Top Nurse  also will be announced at that meeting.

As Associate Vice President for Health Services, Branch has oversight of Meritan’s nursing programs, including home health, private duty nursing and medical residential homes.

“This is one of the highest honors to receive in nursing and all of us at Meritan are thrilled with Cindy’s selection,’’ said Melanie Keller, president of Meritan, Inc. “She is certainly deserving of this recognition and her honor is a reflection of the compassionate work everyone at Meritan does every single day.”
